Christina Applegate receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (NBC) - Actress Christina Applegate received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

It was her first public appearance following her Multiple Sclerosis (MS) diagnosis.

Furthermore, Applegate said the honor was something she has wanted for a very long time.

She appeared alongside her "Married…With Children" co-stars Katey Sagal and David Faustino, and her "Dead to Me" co-star Linda Cardellini.

As a result of her MS diagnosis, the actress walked to the podium, with the help of a cane.

From there, she got emotional as she described the support she has received from her co-stars and friends.

Her star is adjacent to those of her "Married….With Children" parents, Sagal and Ed O'Neill.
