Armed robbery occurred at Dollar Tree Monday night

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - On Monday, October 24, 2022, the Yuma Police Department (YPD) responded to an armed robbery.

Accordingly, the incident occurred at the Dollar Tree located near Food City on 16th street at approximately 7:38 p.m.

The initial investigation revealed that an unknown male suspect entered the store and demanded money.

Details about the robbery

During the robbery, the suspect displayed a knife, took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot.

Following that, the witnesses described the suspect as a White or Hispanic male, 5-foot 10-inches, and weighed 120-130 pounds.

Also, the witnesses noticed the suspect wearing a brown flannel shirt and a black cloth face mask.

Finally, the suspect appeared to be in his 40s or 50s.

Further details

Fortunately, no one got injured during the robbery.

However, there is no further information at this time, and the case is ongoing.
