YPD and DEA to host National Take Back Day

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will host the National Take Back Day.

For the most part, the YPD and DEA will give the public the opportunity to rid their homes of potentially dangerous prescription drugs.

The types of prescription drugs they allow are the following:

  • Expired
  • Unused
  • Unwanted

In addition, the YPD and DEA say that this take back event is a safer method than flushing drugs down the toilet or throwing them in the trash as they could pose as potential safety and health hazards.

Overall, the event starts on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 10:00am to 2:00pm, located at 1500 S. 1st Avenue.
