Utah ski resorts experiences first snowstorm

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (NBC) - Ski resorts in Utah are experiencing their first snowfall of the season.

Many resorts are excited because the snowfall means more visitors.

It means they can start drumming up excitement and ramping up advertising for skiers and snowboarders in the state.

Last year, Ski Utah reports 5.8 million statewide visits to 15 resorts and surrounding cities during the winter season.

Many resorts in the state plan on opening before Thanksgiving.
