Celebrate Inaugural AppreciateAZ Day on Oct. 4

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - AppreciateAZ Day is coming up on Tuesday, October 4.

For further context, the Arizona Office of Tourism (AOT) is inviting all Arizonans to get "AppreciateAZ certified" in responsible tourism principles.

Not only that, this is AOT's first-ever AppreciateAZ Day, and they have a list of seven principles.

These principles, aptly titled the 7 Leave No Trace Principles, are straightforward suggestions for when exploring Arizona.

Furthermore, for those who participate in the certification process, they will enter for a chance to win one of five custom prize boxes.

However, they must complete the certification process by Friday, October 14 to be eligible.

Not only that, the prize boxes will include a reusable water bottle, a small cleanup kit and two gift cards.
