President Trump agrees to pause Iran attacks

(NBC, KYMA) - President Donald Trump is calling for a pause on U.S. military strikes against Iran, at least for now, but it does come with a new warning.

In a post to social media, President Trump wrote that the U.S. military is locked and loaded and ready to go against Iran.

He's calling for a rapid deal with Iran to end the conflict and to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and to end its nuclear threat.

Trump says that Israel has joined the U.S. in the commitment.

This comes after the State Department urged Americans across the Middle East to consider leaving the region or be prepared to depart on short notice.
