President Trump threatens Iran ahead of deadline

(NBC, KYMA) - President Donald Trump posted a dire threat against Iran on Truth Social ahead of deadline to reopen Strait of Hormuz.

In the post, he wrote, "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again" unless Iran agrees to a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz by 8 p.m. Eastern.

President Trump has also recently threatened U.S. military strikes on civilian infrastructure targets, such as bridges and power stations.

He closed his post saying, "God bless the Great People of Iran."
