President Trump threatens Iran’s energy infrastructure

(NBC, KYMA) - President Donald Trump issued a threat against Iran's energy infrastructure and bridges Sunday as his deadline to reopen the Strait of Hormuz nears.

It's a repeat of past threats President Trump has made if Iran misses the deadline now set for Monday.

Back in March, Trump threatened to strike Iran's power plants.

However, on March 26, he gave Iran ten days to make a deal and open up the Strait, which is a critical shipping lane for oil and natural gas.

An attack on civilian infrastructure can be considered a war crime under international law.
