Board of Peace to announce $5 billion Gaza pledge

(CNN, KYMA) - President Donald Trump says the newly-formed "Board of Peace" will unveil a multi-billion dollar humanitarian and reconstruction package for Gaza.

The group will hold its inaugural meeting in Washington Thursday.

In Sunday's announcement, President Trump said member states have pledged more than $5 billion toward the Gaza humanitarian and reconstruction efforts.

He also said that members have committed thousands of personnel to maintain security and peace there.
