President Trump signals he’s ready to move to second phase of Russia sanctions

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - President Donald Trump has signaled that his administration is ready to move to the second phase of sanctions against Russia.

On Sunday, a reporter asked President Trump if he was ready to make the move, and he responded with a yes.

Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed the importance of ratcheting up pressure on Moscow and "all countries who trade with Russia."

As previously reported, the president is growing increasingly frustrated with the lack of progress on peace and is contemplating how involved he should be personally in brokering a meeting between Kremlin and Ukrainian leaders.
