U.S. to screen immigrants for ‘anti-American’ views
(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - People applying to live or work in the U.S. will now face questions about what the Trump Administration calls "anti-Americanism."
Authorities say this includes an expanded social media check.
They say immigration officers will look for "any involvement in anti-American or terrorist organizations," or, "evidence of antisemitic activity."
Immigration advocates and lawyers are criticizing the move. They argue it could deter people from coming to the U.S.
