President Trump says he may seek a third term

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - President Donald Trump is not ruling out the possibility of seeking a third term in the White House.

In an exclusive phone interview with NBC News Sunday, President Trump said there were methods for doing so, and said he "was not joking."

The 22nd Amendment prohibits anyone from running for a third term as president.

In the interview, Trump acknowledged a scenario where Vice President J.D. Vance would run for office and then pass the role to Trump could be a possible method to skirt the Constitution.

In the interview Trump also expressed frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying he was "very angry" when Putin criticized the credibility of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's leadership, saying the comments were "not going in the right location."

The president was also unconcerned about the possibility that automakers could raise prices in the wake of a 25% tariffs on all foreign-made automobiles, saying on the call he "couldn't care less."
