Rep. Adelita Grijalva conducts oversight visit at detention center in Eloy

ELOY, Ariz. (KYMA, NBC) - Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.) conducted an oversight visit at the Eloy Detention Center Wednesday.

According to a press release, the visit was part of the Rep. Grijalva's "ongoing oversight responsibilities to ensure transparency, accountability, and humane treatment within immigration detention facilities."

During the visit, the congresswoman met with a detained constituent as well as assess the conditions at the facility, the press release said.
