Arizona representative pepper sprayed during Tucson ICE raid
TUCSON, Ariz. (KYMA) - One Arizona congresswomen was pepper sprayed during the ICE raid in Tucson.
Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.) posted a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying she was pepper sprayed while approaching an ICE raid happening at a family-owned restaurant in Tucson.
Rep. Grijalva adds she was met with aggression and says she was treated like this as a member of Congress.Â
"This is one of the biggest issues we have in this community...Is that we have Trump with no regard for any due process, the rule of law, the constitution. They're literally disappearing people in the streets. They arrested two people. We have no idea where they're going," said Grijalva in the video.
Grijalva thanks the Tucson Police Department for making sure everyone was safe once ICE left.Â
