Two Congressional District 7 candidates participate in General Debate

TUCSON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Two congressional candidates, Adelita Grijalva (D) and Daniel Butierez (R), are participating in the Clean Elections' General Debate in Tucson Tuesday.

Grijalva and Butierez are running to fill a seat left vacant by the late Congressman Raul Grijalva as well as "represent one of the most geographically and demographically diverse districts in Arizona," according to a press release.

The press release says this race is crucial "because of its influence on regional power dynamics, border policies, and economic growth. The results could shape committee assignments and set legislative priorities."
