Arizona residents protest outside Tesla dealership in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Hundreds of people gathered outside of the Tucson Tesla Dealership Saturday to protest Elon Musk.

Protesters were lined up on the sidewalk of the intersection with signs.

The gathering was to protest Musk's role in the Trump administration and cuts happening at the federal level.

Protesters said the actions of President Donald Trump, Musk and others in the Trump administration are undermining our democracy, and they hope their message will be heard all the way in Washington.

"This is a protest against Trump and Musk mainly because they're trying to take from the poor to pass a tax relief, they call it for the wealthy. So, this is a protest in that regard, also it is in support of democracy. We must defend our democracy and defend our constitution. And this is one way of doing it. It's going to be the courts and the crowds that are going to make a difference."

Phineas Anderson, protest organizer

The white house says the cuts are aimed at parts of the federal governments that are costing, inefficient and are contributing to the nation's debt.
