Car crashes into Boston home injuring two

BOSTON (NBC, KYMA) - Two people escaped serious injury after their car left the roadway and slammed into a house Monday in Boston.

Images from the scene showed the car smashed through a fence and came to rest propped up on a retaining wall, with the front end smashed into windows of the home.

The Toyota was apparently speeding down Glen Road in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood when it lost control and slammed into a metal fence, then continued into a wood fence before finally hitting the house.

Firefighters said they believe the driver's foot was stuck on the accelerator, and that the people inside the car only had minor injuries.

No one inside the home was injured.

The owner of the house says they are thankful no on was seriously hurt.
