At least two injured after U-Haul truck drive into anti-Iranian government protest in L.A.
LOS ANGELES (NBC, KYMA) - A frightening scene unfolded in Los Angeles Sunday when a truck drove into a crowd of demonstrators.
According to officials, at least two people were injured during the incident.
The driver of the U-Haul truck allegedly drove into a large crowd of demonstrators during an anti-Iranian protest in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The rally began around 2:00 p.m. Pacific outside a federal building, where thousands gathered to show solidarity with ongoing protest in Iran.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, paramedics treated two injured people at the scene, but both declined to be taken to the hospital.
Firefighters also reported they were searching for a possible third injured person, but say the size of the crowd slowed emergency response efforts.
