According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the crash happened near Superior, located in the Pinal County, with four people onboard.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the scene and said the private helicopter had reportedly departed from Pegasus Airpark in Queen Creek, Arizona.

All of the passengers onboard are believed to be related and range in age from 21 to 59-years-old.

A temporary flight restriction was issued by the FAA over the area for safety reasons, and the National Transportation Safety Board will be leading an investigation into the crash.
