Five injured after train plows through a truck in the Netherlands

(CBS, KYMA) - Surveillance footage captured the dramatic moment a train plowed through a truck caught at a Dutch level crossing Thursday sending its cargo of pears flying.

Five people suffered minor injuries, according to a local safety authority. These included the truck driver and train passengers.

ProRail said they released the video to raise awareness and improve behavior at level crossings.

"The goal is clear: Prevent this from happening again. Safety starts with alertness and making the right choices – especially with heavy vehicles," the rail network management company said.
