Family in New York crashes car due to carbon monoxide poisoning

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - Four people were injured after a crash on 363 in Binghamton last week.

According to the Binghamton Police Department, officers responded to the crash to find two adults and two kids unresponsive.

The Binghamton Fire Department was able to get them out of the car and they were taken to a hospital.

The family was on their way to Groton, New York, returning home from a family trip when they passed out.

Carbon monoxide poisoning is what is thought to be the cause of this at the time.

No serious injuries were reported and the family is expected to make a full recovery.
