Firefighter in California injured after emergency vehicle rolls over

CASTAIC, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - In California, a firefighter was injured Friday following an emergency vehicle rollover crash near the Canyon Fire burn zone.

The crash was reported before 7:00 p.m. Pacific in Castaic. The driver, a Kern County firefighter, was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

Crews were still working Friday to grow containment lines for the Canyon Fire.
