One dead, several injured in car crash in Arizona

SURPRISE, Ariz. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A deadly crash is under investigation in Surprise, Arizona.

The Surprise Police Department said the crash happened near Waddell Road and Cotton Lane Saturday morning.

According to authorities, one person died as a result of the incident and several others were sent to the hospital.

The names of those involved have not been released at this time.

Police closed the intersection following the crash.

More details surrounding the cause of the crash are developing as an investigation is underway.
