Six people dead after helicopter crashes into Hudson River

NEW YORK (KYMA, KECY/NBC) - A helicopter crash Thursday in the Hudson River left six people dead.

A tourist helicopter operated by the York Helicopters company crashed inverted with its passenger compartment facing up.

NBC says witnesses noticed parts of the helicopter fell into the river before the crash.

Rescue crews arrived quickly but were not able to save anyone on board, including three children.
