One man injured in crash on South Avenue 4E

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) is investigating a crash which left one man injured.

In a press release, the crash happened before 9:00 a.m. Monday in the area of S. Avenue 4E, near E. Main Street.

YPD says a 46-year-old man was driving a 2022 Dodge Ram 2500 "southbound" on S. Avenue 4E when a "2010 Peterbilt tractor trailer with a full load of dirt," driven by a 57-year-old man, "pulled out in front of" the ram "from a construction site," causing the crash.

YPD says the driver of the Ram was taken to Onvida Health with serious injuries, and says there were no other injuries reported.

While alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor in the crash, the investigation is ongoing.

If anyone has any information regarding the crash, call YPD at (928) 783-4421, or 78-CRIME at (928) 782-7463 to remain anonymous.
