Major crash on Interstate 8 near Winterhaven

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - A major crash on Interstate 8 happened near Winterhaven Thursday afternoon.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) logs show a vehicle went off the road and rolled over into some trees.

According to the logs, a man may have been crushed by the vehicle, but KYMA is still waiting to get confirmation from CHP.

The crash happened by the eastbound lanes of Interstate 8 near Winterhaven.

Life Flight and the Yuma Fire Department also responded to the scene.
