PLATTSBURGH, New York (WPTZ) — Forget the traditional, “Ho! Ho! Ho!” One of Santa’s North Country helpers is going, “vroom, vroom, vroom” this holiday season.
People in Clinton County, New York, may have seen Kris Watson, one of Santa’s helpers, and his jolly ‘ole elf cruising around the county in a motorcycle over the past month.
The duo packed up their Christmas bike with candy canes and began spreading holiday cheer the day after Thanksgiving.
Although it isn’t Santa’s traditional mode of transportation, it’s served them well as they’ve traveled more than 1,300 miles to spread smiles this past month.
“It’s not a sleigh. We have to have something to warm up while the reindeer are getting ready for the season. So it’s a little pre-season game going on here. (We’re) trying to make some kids smile and lots of adults, too,” Watson said.
The couple has plans to do this again next Christmas and maybe for some other holidays, too.
