Infant dies after man who abducted her crashes car into house while fleeing police in Ohio
TIFFIN, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in Ohio say a 7-month-old girl has died after a man abducted her then crashed his car into a house while fleeing police. The crash happened Tuesday in Tiffin, about 60 miles north of Colombus. Authorities say 23-year-old Jonathan Baker was armed with a gun when he took the child. Baker contacted the child’s mother saying he was homicidal and suicidal. He also said he had killed the child. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, authorities say Baker crashed into a house, knocking it off its foundation. He was critically wounded in the crash. Authorities haven’t described Baker’s relationship to the child or her mother.
