Mentor ME M.D. takes place at YRMC

Fourth annual two-day workshop transpires this winter

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Yuma Regional Medical Center welcomed 15 Yuma county medical students to participate in the hospital's Mentor ME M.D. program.

The two-day event allows ambitious local students the opportunity to be mentored by local physicians, hospitals, staff, and educators about what a career in the medical field looks like.

Medical students hailed primarily from high schools and colleges in Arizona and engaged in a question-and-answer session with medical staff about scholarship opportunities and obtaining a medical degree.
