City council honors Watts and McClendon

Two council servicewomen celebrated as term concludes

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Leslie McClendon and Karen Watts served a combined eleven years for the Yuma community.

McClendon served on and off for three terms starting in January 2008 to December 2015, and then again from January 2018 to the present.

Watts served a single term from January 2018 to this December.

Both Carol Smith and Art Morales were elected to the council in Yuma's November election and will take over for Watts and McClendon. Gary Knight was also re-elected.
