Charges filed in woman’s drug overdose death at hotel in Lebanon County

    PALMYRA, Pennsylvania (WGAL) — A man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found at a Red Carpet Inn in Lebanon County last year.

Amber Behney, 36, was found in a room at the Palmyra hotel on the 900 block of East Main Street on June 2, 2021.

“An autopsy determined that Behney had died from a combination of fentanyl and methamphetamine toxicity,” Palmyra police said in a statement released Friday morning. “Through a lengthy investigation, police identified Michael Lewis as being the individual that delivered the fentanyl and methamphetamine to Behney, causing her death.”

Police arrested Lewis, 34, on Wednesday. He faces the following charges:

Drug Delivery Resulting in Death. Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Criminal Use of a Communication Facility. Involuntary Manslaughter.
