YRMC continues care of mentally ill

Assessment report shines light on mental illness being top health concern

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Every three years, Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) conducts a community health needs assessment.

The assessment, conducted via the YRMC website, provided feedback through the community.

Also, the most important issue for healthcare to citizens of Yuma was behavioral health.

Not only that, nearly all out-transfer patients in the year 2022 alone from the YRMC were related to behavioral health.

The medical center offers several resources to diagnose and treat mental illnesses including psychological and psychiatric care as well as referral services.
