Ni Una Mas documentary premiere in Yuma
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A local film producer is raising awareness of domestic violence with a new movie.
"Ni Una Mas" or "Not Another Woman" in English is the latest film from Roy Dorantes.
He says the goal is to tackle domestic violence and bring case numbers down.
"It is very important that people raise their voices, only by dialogue and talking about this an answer can be found. As long as keep it quit, victims will feel ashamed, they will feel outcast. We need to make the victims brave enough to speak out," states Roy Durantes.
"Ni Una Mas" will premiere in Yuma on Tuesday, October 18 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
The premiere will be at the Harvest Preparatory Academy Auditorium located at 350 E 18th St, Yuma, AZ 85364.
