Representative Grijalva says latest DACA ruling is a ‘sigh of relief’

(KYMA, KECY) - Judge Andrew Hanen allowed the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program to continue to protect their recipients.

Representative Raul M. Grijalva released the following statement regarding the latest DACA ruling:

“The latest court ruling is a sigh of relief, and all the more reason for the Senate to urgently pass the Dream and Promise Act with no limitations to future enrollment. The House passed legislation to protect the more than 600,000 DACA recipients that call this country home. These individuals have earned a higher education, made careers, served in our military and rooted themselves in our country. They contribute to our economy, our social fabric, and represent the best of our values. We must end this state of fear and provide a path of certainty for these young people.”
