The Dallas Stars have signed young goaltender Jake Oettinger to a $12 million, three-year contract. The young goaltender had 64 saves in Game 7 of the playoffs that capped the season in which he became the team’s starter. The 23-year-old Oettinger won 30 games for the Stars last season, even after beginning in the minors with several veteran goalies also on the Stars roster. General manager Jim Nill says Oettinger’s performance spoke for itself last season. Jason Robertson, only the fourth Dallas skater with a 40-goal season, is the team’s only restricted free agent still unsigned.
