People are talking about whipped cream in New York, you now have to be 21 to buy cans of the product in that state.
On November 25, a new law took effect in New York prohibiting people under 21 from purchasing cans of whipped cream.
Whipped cream cans are filled with nitrous oxide, which is also known as laughing gas.
If it is used improperly, it can be dangerous.
Senator Joseph Addabo Junior sponsored the legislation.
In a statement he says, "sadly, young people buy and inhale this gas to get 'high' because they mistakenly believe it is a 'safe' substance. This law will eliminate easy access to this dangerous substance for our youth."
There are people who agree with the legislation.
"I remember a long time ago, I would see some children using that gas to get a little bit high, so I didn't know about that law, but I think I support it" says Ana Diana of New York.
Others believe the law may have good intentions, but believe it is simply going too far.
