For Yumans, heat wave is nothing new
FOX 9's Adam Klepp spoke to locals about how they prepare for the summer
YUMA, Ariz. (KECY, KYMA) - The temperatures are up, up, and away, as the desert southwest expects over 110-degree days through the weekend.
The heat advisory is in effect, and many from out of town may think this heat is out of control.
But for those who have lived in the desert southwest long time, it’s nothing new.
“It’s humidity, people say hot is hot and that’s a true statement, but the heat here is a dry heat and that makes a difference," Carlton Bucklin said.
Still wear that sunscreen and stay hydrated
