Eye on Jobs: A new job means new faces

NBC

Our career experts have tips to make that first impression a memorable one

YUMA, Ariz, (KYMA, KECY) - So, you've been watching "Eye on Jobs" on your favorite local news and you landed that next big job. In no time you're faced with your first day and although you've already met the recruiting team, there are more new faces to meet.

Our career experts with the Goodwill Career Center of Yuma want those first impressions to go off without a hitch.

Goodwill's Courtney Nelson says that don't be afraid to ask your immediate supervisor to set up some introductions. Now, if this isn't possible, don't be afraid to reach out on your own to meet each one of your new co-workers.

In this day and age, it won't be uncommon to find workers working offsite or working a hybrid work schedule. That only means you'll have to pick up a phone and make some calls.

Career experts say that connecting with each team member is vital to your success and the success of the company.
