$54,000 jackpot ticket remains unclaimed

We have a big winner that might be somewhere in Yuma County.

Last week, the Arizona Lottery reported that on September 25, the winning Fantasy 5 ticket was sold at the Fry’s Food Store on Frontage Road in the Foothills.

The winning numbers: 3, 4, 15, 16, and 24; with a jackpot worth $54,000.

As of Tuesday, Fry’s said no one has come forward to claim their winnings.

In Arizona, only lottery winners of $100,000 or more can remain anonymous, so we believe this winner may not know they hit the jackpot.

Fry’s customer, June Trevino, said her immediate reaction when she heard about the winning ticket was, ” Check your tickets! ”

Trevino and her husband play the lottery together at their Foothills Fry’s location once a week.

Another customer, Pedro Gandara , said he plays the lotto every day, sometimes playing up to five tickets.

Hopeful lottery players are willing to gamble their hard-earned money for a chance to hit the jackpot.

While scratching off his unlucky ticket, Roy Bettencourt said he’d bought a ticket at the Fry’s in the Foothills last Wednesday when the winning ticket was purchased.

However, he regretted not playing a Fantasy 5 ticket.

According to the Arizona Lottery, the winner has 180-days to claim their prize.

That lucky person must submit a winner claim form and their signed lottery ticket, along with their I.D. to the Arizona Lottery office.

Offices are located in Phoenix and Tucson.
