Ron Watson Middle School students to move on to world competition

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Students from Ron Watson Middle School will be headed to the world competition after competing at a state event.

Eight grade students Madison Baker, Erik LaVin, Kevin Britton, and Rowan Evans, and seventh graders Josephine Dooley and Delilah Juvera, are set to travel to Iowa to compete against other teams from all over the world.

The students' 'Matryoshka Structure' project won the state event, which they have been working on since September.

“This team of creative students has worked very hard to solve their problem and are ready to show the world at the World Finals Competition," said the team's coach Lauren Mcguire.

Odyssey of the Mind is a problem solving program to help students work together and create a special project.
