(KYMA, KECY/CNN) - Many still have questions about the COVID-19 booster shots and even the FDA's vaccine advisors have thoughts about it.

"This virus, unfortunately, is going to be woven into the fabric of our everyday lives," Practicing Internist Dr. Lucy McBride said.

While may states continue to lift their COVID-19 emergencies and mandates, Coronavirus is still spreading.

"I would not be surprised if we see an uptick in cases. I hope and I believe that there's reason this will not happen is that we will not get a very large increase proportionality in hospitalizations because of the background immunity," explained Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Despite the numerous vaccines and booster, the future of COVID-19 is unknown.

"The good news is, it allows people who most need a booster shot, a second booster, to get one. That bad news is, it's confusing for people, do I need a booster? When should I get it," continued Dr. McBride.
