Police activity on East La Mesa Street

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Police activity was on East La Mesa Street and one suspect was arrested.

Bystanders noted police were aiming their guns in search of a suspect near 24th Street and Pacific Avenue.

Yuma Police Department says police assisted the Department of Public Safety (DPS) in making one arrest.

One witness says the suspect was found in a shed near her house after the suspect jumped through her backyard in an attempt to hide.

Firefighters and an ambulance were also spotted at the location.
