Kofa’s tumble continues

Lady Kings suffer 5th straight loss

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Kofa softball has hit hard times since notching it's 1st two wins of the season to start of the month of March.

Since that time, the Lady Kings have lost 4 consecutive games; against the likes of Cibola, Southwest and Calexico.

The streak would increase to 5 on Tuesday, as Kofa took another tough defeat to the Desert Ridge Jaguars; by a final of 8-1.

Starting pitcher Daisy Negrete would give up a pair of runs in the top half of the 1st inning, thanks to a no out RBI single.

Even though the Lady Kings would pull within a run in the bottom of the 3rd, the Jaguars would have a 2-run 4th inning and score 4 more in the 5th to put Kofa away for good.

The Crimson and White will attempt to rebound in an out of town tournament this coming Thursday and Friday.
