Decals and Border Patrol lights found near abandoned vehicles

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents arrested one person and later found two abandoned vehicles that may have been used to smuggle migrants.

On Friday, March 4, agents attempted to pull over a Ford F150 that was speeding on County 17th Street but the vehicle made a U-turn and stopped on the River Trail.

One person was arrested but footprints revealed about 12 other people who may have gone back to Mexico.

Agents also found a gap in the border wall with two abandoned vehicles nearby, along with accessories to disguise the cars as Border Patrol vehicles.

Among the items were light bars and license plates.
