Victims of deadly Thermal fire identified
Non profit organizations raise funds for those left homeless - News 11's Wiley Jawhary reports
THERMAL, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Imperial County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) has identified the three victims killed in a fire just one day after Thanksgiving.
The fire happened at the Desert Shores mobile home park in Thermal. The victims have been identified as 33-year-old Pedro Dominguez and his two children, 14-year-old Viridiana Dominguez and 9-year-old Joseph Dominguez.
Flames also destroyed five mobile homes, leaving five families with nowhere to go. Yesterday, non-profit organizations like Comite De Civico and Los Amigos De La Comunidad, joined with members of the community to help bring relief for those who lost their homes.
Eric Reyes is part of Los Amigos De La Comunidad, and was on foot trying to raise funds.
“We are able to help people directly, we are ultimately going to be able to help the families that lost their trailers and homes,” he said.

Additionally, Reyes said that they are assisting with funeral expenses for those who lost their lives.
"We already know that the family of Pedro Dominguez want him buried in Mexico, so we are helping them with that," he said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and ICSO is conducting an autopsy on the three victims today. News 11's Wiley Jawhary will have more on the Evening Edition at 6 p.m.
