ECRMC and CETYS University join forces to train Mexicali nurses in Califonia
The El Centro Regional Medical Center and CETYS University announced the agreement Training Program for Registered Nurses to Practice their Profession in California where candidates have the opportunity to perform professionally at the hospital.
According to To encourage the participation of local nurses, ECRMC hospital will grant 15 scholarships to those that are interested in the program. According to the Common Framework of Language the requirements to take the course, such as being registered in Mexico, have an English level B1, be eligible to obtain a nonimmigrant NAFTA Professional visa, among other requirements.
Mario Dipp Nuñez, Dean of CETYS University Mexicali campus, said that the institution is seeking to partner with companies and organizations through projects that promote the Cali-Baja region.
“Our goal is to train young people with the intellectual abilities to contribute to our community. We believe Mexico and the United States form the same region, so we always look for new opportunities to collaborate. The stronger the Imperial Valley, the stronger the Mexicali is and vice versa. This is a new area for CETYS, but we are very happy to have this development opportunity, where we will all win,” said Nuñez.
For his part, Dr. A. Adolphe Edward, CEO for ECRMC, pointed out the great teamwork between CETYS and the Hospital, “this effort will support the training and continuing education of the students of tomorrow, which will generate a positive impact in the economic development of the region”.
