Yuma Art Center celebrates Mother’s Day with classic film screening
The Yuma Art Center brought back a beloved classic on the big screen for mother’s day.
Playing at the historic Yuma Theatre, the Yuma Art Center screened the 1961 classic, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, which is one of Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn’s most famous roles.
The art center a provided light brunch buffet as well as a cocktail bar filled with mimosas and bloody marys.
Lindsay Benacka, the Arts and Culture Program Manager for the Yuma Art Center said the film offers a generational experience for mothers and daughters.
“Any lady loves this movie. And it’s a great movie to share with all the ladies in your life. So if you have many generations celebrating mother’s day this year we’re encouraging everyone to come out. I know there’s some grandmothers bringing their granddaughters to see the movie for the first time and it’s so many people’s favorite movie,” said Benacka.
The Yuma Art Center said that for Father’s Day they’ll be screening “The Godfather”, which will be part of their TGIF Summer Movie Series.
