Man reported missing on hike in Oracle State Park found dead

Pinal County Sheriff’s officials say a man reported missing after going hiking last weekend in Oracle State Park has been found dead.

They say the body of 78-year-old Carl Kallina was discovered by deputies along a wash Monday.

Sheriff’s officials say Kallina was reported as an overdue hiker on Saturday evening.

He reportedly left the trailhead for a 45-minute hike in the park, but he didn’t return to his vehicle.

Authorities say Kallina lived in Oracle and had a medical condition that required daily treatments.
