CBP seize $186k in drugs at port of entry

A Phoenix woman was apprehended for an alleged attempt to smuggle 62 pounds of methamphetamine through the Port of San Luis on Tuesday.

Officers say a 43-year-old Glendale woman was referred for additional inspection of her KIA sedan as she attempted to enter the U.S. Tuesday night.

According to agents, a canine alerted to scent coming from the vehicle and a search led to the discovery of 50 packages that weighed 62 pounds and is worth $186,000.
