Study: Arizona among top ten most dangerous for online dating

Finding love online can be tricky though. The risk of being a victim of online dating may be higher or lower based on where you live, according to a recent report .

A team looked at the safest and most dangerous states for online dating by analyzing recent stats on violent crime, cybercrime statistics, and STD data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Alaska landed the number one spot on the list for the most dangerous state for online dating. Arizona placed sixth on the list, while California followed closely behind at number nine.

The best state for online dating is Vermont.

Some safety tips for when you’re meeting with someone online is arrange transportation and meet in a public place.
